Sheriff (David Clarke) who cut half of Milwaukee County Sheriff’s deputies attempts to lecture Tom Barrett on policing

Considering Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke has seen the number of deputies employed by the Sheriff’s Office halved since he took office, he’s got some nerve attempting to lecture Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett on the need for more police officers on Milwaukee’s streets.

The Sheriff called for the hiring of up to 500 more officers on the streets, and a public plan from the mayor to decrease poverty.

“Let’s sit down. And admit we have a problem here and this isn’t working and go from there, they continue to say it’s getting better, no it’s not.”

  1. And how does Ol’ Davey suggest we pay for it? Unless he’s worked out a deal with his buddy Scott Walker to allow the City to raise it’s own revenues through a special sales tax or have this anti-Milwaukee Legislature give the City tens of millions of dollars to hire these people, it ain’t gonna happen.

But this lack of understanding that things cost money goes a long way toward explaining why Poser Clarke blows his Sheriff’s Office budget every year by millions of dollars.

What a buffoon. Vote Moews on Aug 12, and exile Clarke to his future career as a wingnut welfare case for suburbanites
