How did Scott Walker fail to meet his job creation promise with Republican control of all facets of WI government?

In 2010, Scott Walker made a bold campaign promise: he’d create 250,000 new jobs in Wisconsin by the end of his first term in office.

Given that we’re within 6 months of the end Gov. Walker’s first term in office, I couldn’t help but wonder how a Republican governor whose party controls the State Assembly, the State Senate, and the State Supreme Court failed to deliver on a promise to create 250,000 jobs – and by a wide margin.

Given his party’s deathgrip on all three branches of government in Wisconsin, how did Gov. Walker fail so miserably at creating jobs?

  1. The pertinent question is why do people believe his convenient lies? It makes it so difficult to get competent legislators.

  2. How did Walker fail? He didn’t, as the jobs promise was merely window dressing. The real question is: “What has Walker ever succeeded at that left the people of Wisconsin with a net positive?”. He was absolutely lousy as Milwaukee County Executive, and not one damn bit better as Governor. And, what exactly did he accomplish in the state assembly?

Walker’s agenda is driven by a hard-core far-right ideology, and the only reason he moved beyond state rep was do to his willingness to use the Koch brothers for their money as much as they were willing to use him to advance their interests.

Scott Walker’s approach to governing is like Ted Bundy’s approach to dating.

Amazing that this guy is being discussed as a potential Presidential candidate, as he’s already dirtier than Nixon. http://goo.gl/4GsSrh
