Scott Walker’s WEDC doles out millions of dollars to companies that outsourced WI jobs to foreign countries

THIS is Scott Walker’s Wisconsin….giving millions of taxpayer dollars to companies that sent WISCONSIN jobs to foreign countries.

At least two companies that received financial awards from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) later outsourced jobs to foreign countries, with one of those companies receiving a second WEDC award after the fact.

A 27 News investigation has uncovered that both the Eaton Corporation and Plexus Corporation received millions of dollars in financial awards from WEDC, only to later lay off workers whose jobs were taken by employees at the companies’ foreign facilities.

To date, Plexus Corp. and Eaton Corp., the two companies at issue, have received a total of just over $4.8 million in taxpayer dollars from the WEDC, while they’ve sent a total of 279 Wisconsin jobs to foreign countries.

  1. First if all, is anyone surprised that a bunch of corporate takers would so this? You shouldn’t be.

    Second, no mention of this in today’s Journal-Sentinel, but they were sure quick to talk about that Walker ad about Abbott Labs. Couldn’t be because WEDC sponsors the newswatch on the J-S site, could it? NAHHH!
