Predictably, some conservatives are poking fun at Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama’s decision to give his acceptance speech in front of a faux “Greek temple” at Mile High Stadium. As a point of reference, here’s a photo of the “temple:”
To me, it looks more like a mockup of the Lincoln Memorial or perhaps the columns in front of the U.S. Capitol, but hey, maybe I’m just less imaginative than some conservatives. At any rate, I’m wondering if these same folks who are poking fun at/attacking Sen. Obama attacked President Bush when he accepted his party’s nomination in 2004 in front of curiously Greek-looking temple columns:
Did these same folks who are attacking Barack Obama in 2008 attack George W. Bush in 2004?
I’m guessing the answer’s no, but I’m pretty cynical.
