He would love to hear from you!

Once Dane County Judge Maryann Sumi issued a temporary restraining order against Scott Walkers union-busting bill. Attorney General JB Van Hollen, worked with lightning speed to file an appeal(If only he had moved so fast when his good friend was preying on women).

As part of JB’s appeal:

The “Petition for Leave to Appeal” filed by the Department of Justice lawyers concludes with the words “Secretary La Follette respectfully requests… an ex parte order granting temporary relief from the TRO entered by Judge Sumi on March 18, 2011..

Except Oops…No one asked Secretary of State Doug La Follette:

But the Department of Justice attorneys did not consult La Follette about whether he has any objection to Judge Sumi’s order.

The secretary of state says he has not complained about the judge’s order.

Indeed, he says, he has already acted in accordance with it, in a move that he says allows him to “fulfill the public trust in my office.”

Finally Maybe La Follette should be Governor:

La Follette concluded by encouraging all parties to “work together and talk to each other to come up with a solution to the current situation that serves the public trust in our institutions of government.”

If anyone has an opinion on this please share it with Mr. Van Hollen:

  1. Thanks for the e-mail address for Van Hollen– the Wisconsin DOJ web site does not have a link for his e-mail address (unless I missed it)– maybe to discourage communications from us peasants. I’ll be communicating with his office. By the way, Walker and others of his ilk, such as Honadel, don’t respond to e-mails unless it is an “Open-Records” request which they must acknowledge. So– selectively using “Open-Records” in the subject line of the e-mailis a “tool”, but not one of Walker’s “tools”.

  2. Glad to see Blogging Blue back online.

I’d like to hear from Van Hollen about the death threats that were made against several republican legislators. Where did that story go? The last I remember a woman had confessed. Is she being charged? Is it still under investigation? Anybody know?

    1. Glad to see you found your way back here, Steve. Hopefully folks will find their way back now that things are back to normal.

  3. Ditto Steve. I also agree with you, would love to hear what happened to that lady. I am guessing she did not fit into the republican Mantra of crazy liberal protester so they cant parade her around like they did with the few death threats they received.

  4. Yeah, it makes you wonder. Is it a supersecret investigation? If so, why leak that a female had confessed? Are republicans just making this stuff up?

I’m a long way from Milwaukee and don’t listen to your radio stations, but didn’t some guy named Charlie Sykes break this story? Didn’t he somehow get the threatening email and post it online?

Charlie, are you out there? Can you read me? You wanna follow up on this thing? Maybe real journalism isn’t your style?

Remember Ashley Todd, the woman who falsely claimed that an Obama supporter scratched a ” B ” on her cheek during an armed robbery?

I wonder if she’s living in Madison?

  5. No news on the threats is certainly curious isn’t it?

I may be going out on a limb here but I bet the investigation has turned up some pretty stunning info on these claims.

What happened to the investigation of the threats back in January?
