Scott Walker’s scandals…and some John Doe news

The Greater Wisconsin Committee has a new ad out highlighting the scandals and criminal charges surrounding a number of close aides to Republican Gov. Scott Walker from his tenure as Milwaukee County Executive.

In related news, a twelfth person was granted immunity in the ongoing John Doe investigation in Milwaukee County, as attorney David Halbrooks was granted immunity earlier today. According to this document, Halbrooks was at one time a Council Member of the Milwaukee 7, an organization formed to “create a regional, cooperative economic development platform for the seven counties of southeastern Wisconsin.” Obviously it’s too early to know exactly why David Halbrooks was granted immunity in the ongoing John Doe investigation, but the fact that the John Doe investigation seems to still be going strong does not bode well for Gov. Walker.
