Just not in Seymour, Wisconsin…
Provimi Foods, Inc., says due to the economic downturn they are laying off 50 people.
The Seymour food processing plant says it’s suspending slaughter floor and fabrication operations, but that all other operations will continue.
“Continued harvest and fabrication operations in Seymour were no longer feasible,” company president Brian Friesen said in a news release. “Although we needed to take this step for overall company stability, we regret the hardship this will create for the employees being laid off.”
Clearly Gov. Walker’s extremist agenda is working….NOT!
Somehow Walker never shows up at the plant closings or contractions, only the expansions. Inquiring minds wonder why.
I continue to hire people and have been for the last 6 months. I had a new employee for the shipping/warehouse department start Monday and next week I plan on interviewing for additional welders for our fabrication department.
The glass is not always half empty.
