Recalling Governor Evers…

Those of you who have read the various articles about the protests in Madison yesterday…those opposing the ‘safer at home’ policies instituted by Governor Tony Evers to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in Wisconsin…probably noticed mention of a proposed recall of the governor.

Here is the link to an online petition on change.org that is now closed.

We must come together to end Governor Tony Evers reign of tyranny. His abuse of powers has destroyed Wisconsin’s economy, and millions of it’s citizens lives. He has done more harm than good in the wake of COVID-19. He has taken our rights to assemble, practice religion and pursue life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Please join us in ending his dictatorship and restore our republic. Thank You.

To petition a recall we need 25% of the total votes that the candidate received in the last election which would be roughly 331k signatures. Help us get there!

Given that the sentiment in Wisconsin is 70 – 86% (depending on the poll) in favor of the governor’s efforts…I think anyone would be hard pressed to garner 331,000 signatures in a good environment…going door to door or standing in front of a grocery store with a clipboard right now is going to get you shunned more often than not.

  1. On another note; I read that so-called “study” from a father-son MD duo in Milw and some number cruncher from Alabama. They said there was no uptick in virus cases due to our election. Try as I may I could not find out who requested this study, how much it cost and who paid for it. Will this “study” suddenly appear in from of the State Supreme Court as evidence even if it hasn’t been proven correct? Just wondering.

  2. And actually, the law is 25% of ALL VOTES CAST (you may remember this from 2012), so more like 670,000 signatures are needed. Good luck going door-to-door on that one, especially since Evers would likely beat Walker by more today.

PS- How is Safer at Home keeping anyone from practicing religion or pursuing happiness? BE SPECIFIC, you pathetic, whiny clowns.

    1. Side note- it also means 670,000 signatures are required to recall any of the Supreme Court “justices” that put people at risk in the April 7 election. Not that I am suggesting such a thing…that you know of.

    2. Oh, that’s right, your life hasn’t been affected in the slightest, has it, except for the awful pain of not being able to get a drink in a bar or take trips to Vegas… you arrogant, selfish little prick of a state government employee.

      1. WashCoRepub, all of our lives have been affected – that wasn’t at all Jake’s point. He asked a very specific question and you responded with very personal insults.

There’s absolutely no need for that, and having said that I think any reasonable person would agree we’re facing a public health emergency not seen since the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918, and we need to do whatever it takes to mitigate the impact of COVID-19.

        1. Zach, lets see if I can change your mind about “whatever it takes”.

What we have with the Wuhan Flu is basically what ethicists call a Trolley Problem. The “whatever it takes” types are only looking at the people on the COVID track and not seeing the other rail. That other track has tied to it constitutional rights, economic dreams, and individuals that include people that have been diagnosed with cancer that have had their treatment suspended because the therapy or surgery was classified as elective by our Dear Leader. You are at the switch Zach. We already know how many constitutional rights and economic dreams you (and our Governor) are willing to sacrifice for promises of safety, but how many people are you willing to kill to potentially save a few virus victims?
