With the appointment and confirmation of incumbent Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett as US Ambassador to Luxembourg, Milwaukee has an opportunity to bring a new and younger voice to the mayor’s office.
And I am proud to endorse my friend, Common Council President Cavalier “Chevy” Johnson for Mayor of Milwaukee.

I have known Alderman Johnson for almost 11 years now and he is one of the hardest working civil servants that I know. He’s totally committed to improving conditions in the city for all of its residents. I have supported him in all of his elections and know that he has always been completely involved, completely committed, and completely knowledgeable in the issues. I will be proud to have him as the next mayor of my home city!
As Common Council President, Alderman Johnson will be acting mayor until a special election can be held to elect a mayor to fulfill Mayor Barrett’s term which will end in 2024.
Alderman Johnson’s official biography can be found here.
