In the wake of yesterday’s SCOTUS decision overturning Roe v. Wade, that now allows the states to determine abortion rights in America, at least a half dozen national companies have publicly stated that they will pay to send their employees to states where abortions are legal.
Silly feel good PR stunts guys. What companies need to do is lobby Washington to support safe and legal abortions nationally, for everyone. And vote with their ‘feet’ and leave states that don’t provide the health services that their employees desire and need: abortion, contraception, pre-natal care, day care, parental leave, early childhood care, day care, etc.
