Why won’t Scott Walker answer the question?

There’s a question being asked of Republican gubernatorial candidate Scott Walker that he seems imply unable (more likely unwilling) to answer. The question is simple:

“How would you have plugged budget deficits without Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding?”

It’s a fair question, considering Walker used $130 million in stimulus funds to plug a hole in Milwaukee County’s annual budget, and it’s also a question worth asking considering that on March 25, 2009, Walker railed against the stimulus, writing an editorial proclaiming “I will not compile a stimulus ‘wish list.'” While Scott Walker circa March 25 2009 made it clear he wouldn’t accept stimulus funds, less than a week later on March 31, 2009, Walker submitted a list of stimulus projects for Milwaukee County.

So considering Walker was against accepting stimulus funds for Milwaukee, then was for it, and now seems to be against it again, I think it’s only fair that Scott Walker step up to the plate and answer one simple question:

“How would you have plugged budget deficits without Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding?”

Thus far, Walker has been unwilling to answer that simple question, and what’s more, he’s actually started deleting comments on his Facebook page from Wisconsin voters who want an answer to the question. If Scott Walker can’t answer the one simple question being asked of him by Wisconsin’s voters, then he’s not fit to serve in the office he’s seeking.
