Scott Walker’s brown-bagging it no more!

Remember when Scott Walker the gubernatorial candidate touted the fact that he drove a 1998 Saturn with 100,000 miles on it as proof of his frugality?

Apparently Scott Walker’s frugality went out the window when he was elected governor, as his brand spankin’ new 2010 Yukon XL cost taxpayers $2,054.10 for the first month of use by Walker, thanks to the 5,288 miles put on the vehicle during the first month of its use. When asked to provide more information on how the vehicle came to accumulate so many miles in one month, Walker spokesperson Cullen Werwie borrowed a page out of the Walker anti-transparency playbook, refusing to answer requests from Isthmus about the vehicle’s mileage.
