Conservative Supreme Court candidate vows to give deference to legislators

Apparently conservative Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate James Daley, who currently serves as a Rock County Circuit Court Judge, doesn’t believe in the importance of checks and balances between the different branches of our state government.

Daley spoke to reporters on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus after addressing the board of the Wisconsin Technology Council, where he said he was reluctant to overturn state laws and would give deference to legislators.

No doubt James Daley’s idea of giving deference to legislators means if elected he’d be nothing more than a rubber-stamp for Republican majorities in the State Senate and Assembly, which is absolutely the last thing the Wisconsin Supreme Court needs more of, considering we’ve already got rubber stamps in Justices Prosser, Roggensack, Ziegler, and Gableman.
