I have posted a number of long form campaign finance reform blogs in the past. Here’s an oldie from 2015 and an update from 2019. But as we roll into the 2022 mid-terms, here’s the short form.
The only people who can contribute to a campaign are those who are eligible to sign nomination papers for that same candidate.
I’ve always said, ” a person running for office should not accept any contributions from outside the district they’d represent, to do so would be beholden to outside interests.”
