Ah-One, Ah-Two!

Much has been written on Prossers intemperance and blatant partisanship, but yet another nice story came out yesterday. Like our new intellectual lightweight Senator Ron Johnson before him, he joined the side of the pedophile priests.

In the JSonline:

In 1979, then Outagamie County District Attorney David Prosser told a mother he did not want to prosecute a Green Bay priest who had abused her sons because “it would be too hard on the boys,” newly released documents indicate.

The priest, John Patrick Feeney, who is now 81, went on to abuse other children before he was sent to jail in 2004.

So he allowed a pedophile priest to continue preying on boys for 25 years. Now he gets to hear a case that could potentially release the ex-priest early. His victims are upset and want Justice Prosser to recuse himself.

One of Feeney’s victims, Troy Merryfield, on Monday called on Prosser to step aside when cases involving priest sexual misconduct come before the high court.

“He knows damn well what happened and what was said,” said Merryfield, now 43. “He dropped the ball, and he should recuse himself.”

As if we need more reasons to vote for JoAnne Kloppenburg for Justice, Prosser cited the Lawrence Welk defense in citing why he, as the district attorney, decided NOT to prosecute>

“I was ready to take the stand,” Troy Merryfield said Monday. “He (Prosser) said it would be too embarrassing for a kid my age and said what jury would believe a kid testifying against a priest? Then he said, what really makes it bad is that Feeney’s brother, Joe, sang on the Lawrence Welk show and everybody watched that back then.”

The question I have is: what would he have let family members of Sha Na Na get away with?

  1. I surely hope Wisconsinites will not look the other way this time. What Johnson did was appalling and I was incredulous that so many “mom’s and dads” in this state turned a deaf ear to it and voted for him anyway. I was more dismayed when many of these “mom’s and dad’s tried to rationalize it.

Mom’s and dad’s who voted for Johnson can do a little redeeming by not letting Prosser slide….

  2. Folks just remember Wisconsin voted last November to have this state move in a more fiscally responsible direction. Justice David Prossers opponent is trying to paint herself as an independent, now stop laughing that is not polite, I guess that is why the unions are behind her, because she is an independent, or why the husband of Judge Maryann Sumi gave to her campaign or why far left zealots Kathleen Falk and Dave Cieslewicz support her. Don’t be fooled by a wolf in sheep’s clothing, this women if a far left activist and she will work very hard to make sure unions are kept in control of your paycheck. Don’t undo what the people of Wisconsin started in November be sure to vote for David Prosser.

    1. Notalib…how much did Judge Sumi’s husband contribute…since both Supreme Court candidates have accepted public funding…the intitial contributions were limited by law and contributions aren’t accepted once they qualified for public monies.

And just maybe the unions and libs are behind her because she is running against Justice Prosser and not because she is an activist of any kind. More than a few elections have run that course…voting against something…

And don’t undo what the people of WI started? Aren’t the people of WI allowed to change their minds?

  3. Nota, maybe the people voted in Walker and the repubs to bring jobs to the state AND be fiscally conservative, then after three months realized he had no intention of doing either and they have major buyers remorse….
